Lease End Options in Lisle, IL

It’s beneficial to know the lease end options available to you here at Bill Kay Chevrolet. That way, once you’re at our location, you’ll have already done the research necessary to prepare for the next steps. There are three routes that you can take — choosing to lease again, purchasing the car, or simply returning it. Let’s explore what each avenue involves!
Continuing to Lease
For remote workers or those who mainly travel around Lisle for errand running, continuing to lease is an economically wise choice. It’s also a great time to evaluate what you liked and disliked about the car you’ve been driving around town, as you now have the option to explore trims higher up the rung ladder or downsize to a smaller model if needed. Inform our associates about what features are essential for you to have so that they can work with you to find a trim or car suited for you. Keep in mind that the car you previously leased will be assessed upon the end of the contractual date, which is why we encourage you to schedule an inspection around two or three months before that time.
Buy It Out
It’s also common that our customers explore what is colloquially known as “lease to own,” or purchasing the car you’ve used to reliably commute through the Chicago-Kansas City Expressway. This path is favorable if you find the mileage allotments slightly limiting for your lifestyle or sincerely enjoy the vehicle you’ve spent the last 24 to 48 months with. In some cases, choosing to buy may be the financially wise choice to make in the event the car incurred excessive damage that is pricey to repair. Our Finance Center staff will help determine a payment plan going forward that factors in the payments they made during the lease.
Returning the Vehicle
Certain situations call for returning the vehicle after the lease inspection is conducted without choosing to lease again or buying the current car you’ve rented for a while. There are a number of scenarios where taking this route is logical, such as a major life event that warrants a relocation away from the Northern Illinois area. It’s also common that a family evaluates their expenditures and decides that downsizing the number of cars in their driveway is what makes the most financial sense. Some customers may even decide to make the move to a pre-owned model, which we have plenty of in stock!
